This is a follow-up to my original blog on my 5 pot herb garden. If you haven’t read the original post than check it out. I know some of you have been anxiously awaiting to know whether I actually have a green thumb…. well wait no longer (yes you can breathe now and sit back in your seat) because I’m about to give you a full detailed update on my indoor garden.
So at first everything was thriving and I was thrilled because my dill was going crazy and everything but 2 pots had some green life. I was a little worried about the 2 pots left but their seed packets said they had a longer harvest time than the others so I felt justified in the fact that I couldn’t see anything.
I was watering each about every couple of days and making sure the soil was moist (hate that word).
I also noticed some of the herbs actually started to turn towards the window. So I made the decision to move the plant out of the corner and closer to the window for more sunlight. Soon my little buds were growing.
And then it happened.. My dill flopped over and looked like it was going to die!! So in a panic.. I continued to water and agonize over whether I was watering too much. I’ve also moved the pots around a little hoping that they were getting the right amount of sun. As you can see my dill looks green but it’s still laying down some. (Insert confused face)
Some of the other plants look to be doing just okay… Like my cilantro. It’s growing but doesn’t look all that green.
The basil and oregano look decent… So far… I still have time to kill them. Ha!
And then there is my parsley… What little of it there is. It’s pathetic.. yes I know.
Needless to say I’m not holding my breathe on any of this. What I am doing though is making these cute little stone markers to mark which plant is which…
Or are they tombstones for the plants?! Only time will tell.
